A sail yacht which is more than just a feast for the eyes – it’s also a delight to sail. One good look at the 540e and you’ll never look at more conventional cruising boats quite the same way again.
The yacht’s design concept is provided by Bremerhaven-based judel / vrolijk & co, whose designer, Rolf Vrolijk, is
internationally renowned as the lead designer for the Spanish Royal Yacht and the America’s Cup winner “Alinghi”. The builders and designers have made every effort to streamline the 540e’s deck layout and to remove any obstacles or visual impediments.
This commitment to design details, each playing a role in providing ease of handling and ideal sailing characteristics, is common only on custom Wally Yachts and other very high-end cruisers.

[/list] Both on and below deck there is an atmosphere of luxury. The Hanse 540e provides significantly above average living room and comfort. The interior is spacious, comfortable and bright and its styling has a kind of minimalist Euro feel that makes the most of the hull’s large volume, not by cramming in a lot of heavy furniture but by keeping all of the surfaces and cabinetry simple, quite low and unobtrusive. The effect expands the saloon and cabins so the boat feels very open and airy below decks.
